The traditional Settimane Musicali Ascona is repositioning itself as classicAscona and launching an Ascona Choral Academy.

The «Ascona Choral Academy» is part of the new «Ascona Academy,» which will be newly launched in autumn 2026 on the occasion of the 81st edition of the long-standing «Settimane Musicali Ascona».

The Ascona Academy is the most significant element in the transformation of Settimane Musicali Ascona into "classicAscona" and, through its four sub-projects, addresses young professionals, ambitious amateurs, semi-professionals, as well as children and young people from local educational institutions. The Ascona Academy is being developed in close coordination and collaboration with educational institutions in Ticino, particularly the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana.

We offer all participants of the various Academy programs a comprehensive experience including instruction, workshops, learning phases, performance opportunities, encounters between people of diverse cultures and generations, and a connection to an attractive music festival with top-class concerts.
